Leadership coaching and training for the charity sector
Voluntary sector leaders and managers are under continuous pressure to achieve more with less.
There is an acronym for the world we now work in: VUCA – Volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. Today’s leaders need to make decisions fast and be prepared to change these decision as new data emerges.
It’s no wonder that you might be feeling overwhelmed, stressed and exhausted and looking for a coach. Igniting Minds understands the voluntary sector. Jacqueline Davis has 28-years experience working as CEO, trustee, consultant, fundraiser and coach.

What is leadership coaching?
A coach will be a thinking partner to create a calm space to help focus your mind on what you want to achieve.
A coach will help you develop a leadership mindset that combines curiosity, playfulness and flexibility with the serious business acumen needed to succeed in the VUCA world.
Working with a transformational leadership coach will support you to grow into the leader that your organisation needs. A leader who can hold the complexity and ambiguity without the stress.
Why Executive Coaching for Voluntary Sector Leaders?
Voluntary sector leaders often feel isolated. Sandwiched between a non-executive board and their senior management team. Working with an executive coach provides time to think things through and look at options through different perspectives before presenting to the board and the team.
Coaching helps develop a systemic, relational and somatic awareness to expand awareness, increase confidence and well-being and understand stress and reduce its negative impact.
“Wow! I only had one session and feel like a weight has been removed from my working shoulders.” LesleyDodd, CEO, Ealing Mencap
How leadership coaching works
We begin by exploring what a successful coaching outcome will look like for you. This might be performance based with clear, measurable goals and milestones or softer transferable skills such as resilience, confidence or relationship building.
As your coach I will ask insightful questions to help you explore the meaning you are making of a situation. From here we can explore new perspectives and consider new meanings that emerge.
We offer psychometric profiling to understand your default position in meaning making. You can then choose to consolidate or expand the action logic from which you make meaning. More about Action Logic can be read here.
We do our best thinking when we feel heard and understood. Jacqueline Davis was a Chief Executive of a charity for eighteen years and she understands the specific challenges that you are facing. She continues to work in the voluntary sector as coach, organisational development consultant and fundraiser.
Her coaching is powerful. She offers a systemic and somatic approach. She integrates Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Gestalt, mindfulness, neuroscience with many business tools to support you to develop your leadership capabilities and presence.
