I contacted Jackie because I was transitioning from one career to another. I had been a Civil Servant for several years and I was looking to move into the Charity sector.
I was unclear what sort of role could encompass both my passions for helping others and media. Jackie kindly shared her own experience of the industry and helped me to see there was more than one route to achieving my dream job.
At the time of our meeting, I already had an upcoming interview for an admin role in a charity. Jackie helped coach me through the interview process, giving me pointers on what kind of questions I may be asked and helping me to articulate how my values connected to this role. When I went for the interview, mentioning my values proved to be significant as my answer resonated with one of the interviewers.
It was Jackie’s brillant advice that helped me to secure a job with a great charity and now l have the opportunity to pursue my dream role and learn so much along the way.
